As with adults if you are unwell you often want your own home and comfort. We ask you to keep your child at home if they have a high temperature, sickness and (or) diarrhea (48hrs exclusion), eye infections and unidentified rashes or spots. This also allows us to keep the spread of infection at a minimum within the nursery setting. Please see our full policy on further guidelines. Please ring the nursery and inform us that your child is going to be absent due to illness. We also ask that you keep us informed and let us know of any medicine that has been given to your child when they return to nursery.
Collection of children
We ask that all parents wait in the reception area for their child. The children will only be allowed to leave the premises with a parent or an authorized adult . If parents wish another authorised person to pick their child up, parents must inform us first as we operate a password system. If the authorized adult does not know the password, the child does not leave and we contact the parent/carer.
In the event of an unauthorized adult arriving to pick up the child we will contact the parents first to make them aware of the attempted collection. This is a sensitive and important issue and we will endeavour to deal with the situation to cause the least amount of distress.
All parents must sign out their child on departure
Fees are paid for 51 weeks of the year, including bank holidays. Payment is not required for the time the nursery is closed between Christmas and New Year, depending on how the
Christmas and New Year holidays fall within the annual calendar.
Fees can be paid weekly, fortnightly or monthly. All fees are due in advance of your child attending the nursery (if you decide to pay weekly, the full weeks payment should be made on the first day that your child attends in the week). We provide a separate sheet detailing session prices....but these can be listed on the 'Fees and Funding' section on this site.
Fees must be paid by cash, cheque or standing order. If fees should become overdue and in arrears for a period of one week your child will lose their place and will not have accessto Little G’s Pre-school. Access cannot be resumed until the arrears and any other payments are made in order to bring the account into ‘current’ status. Fees must still be paid if you child is absent or sick. Late collection of children will incur a charge.
